BDM – Business Development Manager (PURE HYDROGEN)

Location: Melbourne or Sydney, Australia

Pure Hydrogen Corporation is focused on providing the best energy solutions for Hydrogen and Clean Energy. The Company is looking at producing Hydrogen at multiple plants across Australia and we expect to supply to many parts of Australia and the World.

Victoria & New South Wales are thriving energy hubs with an abundance of gas, renewable and mining projects. The opportunity exists to expand the energy sector by attracting new clients by supplying hydrogen.

You will have an in-depth knowledge of the energy sector in and be able to facilitate the attraction of hydrogen. You will have an understanding of hydrogen and other new energy sources so that you will be able to develop these opportunities within your state. The role will be required to attract new industries that could complement the growing hydrogen sector, such as manufacturing and transport industries.

Primary Purpose

Responsible for duties in Sales, including a safe work environment, business development, field service, high quality work, and high customer satisfaction. Ensure the company’s Vision, Mission, and Values are executed with the customers we serve and the employees of PH2. Serve as a leader for the organisation, customers, and vendors with the intent to grow the business and help our customers succeed.

Essential Functions

The role would suit a self-motivated individual with:
  • an understanding of medium/large business environments.

  • a keen interest in developing solutions for new activities.
  • previous experience engaging with stakeholders.

Evaluation

  • Establish the culture for the hydrogen industry in alignment with the company’s corporate culture, including the pursuit of excellence in workmanship, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver and execute in the strategy of Products, Innovation, Sales, Service & Support.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets established by the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Meet or exceed the success metrics of Safety, Earnings, Rework, Value, Inventory, Customer Satisfaction, Efficiency (SERVICE).
  • Develop and execute a business growth strategy for success in the Victorian & New South Wales regions.
  • Provide accurate revenue and profit forecasts, with growth in revenue and profits year over year.
  • Fulfill a budget based on forecast, execute the plan, then report results of PH2 business plan at monthly checkpoints with the Sales Manager, in addition to quarterly Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) meetings. Implement corrective actions, as needed.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and potential customers across all levels of the customer base.
  • Recognize and anticipate future customer needs through relationship building, remaining connected and communicating with customers on a regular basis.
  • Analyse PH2 effectiveness and develop strategic staffing plans to meet the future needs of the Victorian region, reporting on this annually to the Sales Manager and the General Manager.
  • Analyse overall quality to ensure customer needs are being met.
  • Deliver reports and data to Sales Manager as needed.
  • Demonstrate solidarity around SLT decisions, objectives, standards, and the direction of the business.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Skill Developing, Relationship Building, and Evaluating Performance.
